Place/ region: the south of Norway The tourism and leisure centre “Trysnes Marina & Feriesenter” is situated in the southern part of Norway – in the Trysnes town, about 25 kilometres to the south from the Kristiansand town. In the past Trysnes town was a ship harbor and now it is a popular place to spend family holiday or to come for active fishing.
Žvejyba: jūra ir gėlieji vandenys You can go fishing both in the sea and in the fresh water: · Sea fishing is possible from early spring till late autumn. You can catch different kinds of fish – cod, herring, mackerel, sea eel, sea bass, sea flatfish, sea-wolf, etc. Lobster fishing is popular in autumn and fishing on ice – in winter. · The best season for fishing in the freshwater is from June till the middle of August. Mostly you can catch salmon, trout, perch and eel while fishing in the rivers of Audna, Mandalselva and Otra. · There is a choice of ships: diesel ships are good for the groups of 6 people and petrol ships – for the groups of 4 people. It is possible to bring your own boat.
Leisure activities for fishermen and their family members
The region of Kristiansand offers various kinds of entertainment:
1. For active relaxation – go-karting, climbing wall, golf, canoes, kayaks, water-skis (Evje); 2. Speedboats, one day cruises (Kristiansand), fiord cruises Lysefjord (Stavagner); 3. For quiet relaxation – the sculpture park in Oyslebo, the mineral museum in Hornes. The region of Handarger – Hardengevidda – is the biggest Norwegian national park. This place is famous for its magnificent mountains and fiords. The fiord cruises are popular in summer, skiing is popular in winter and mountain climbing – in autumn.
Accommodation: “Trysnes Marina & Feriesenter” offers accommodation in cozy modern wooden apartments both for small and large groups of tourists. All apartments are on the coast with the view to the sea. You may fish simply from the terrace.
· Apartments are divided into the A, B, C, D, E, F types according to their size and location, with balconies or terraces; · Apartments include a kitchen (with a fridge, an electric kettle, a cooker, a microwave oven and other kitchenware), a living room (with a TV set and – in some apartments – a fireplace), bedrooms (with single and double beds), a bath or a shower together with a WC; · Near the apartments there is a cabin for the fish processing with a spacious freezer.
